This program will prepare you or your employees to be successful in a manufacturing environment— even with no previous production experience!
This nationally recognized certification program is designed to help individuals begin a solid career with good pay, while increasing the quality and competitiveness of Missouri manufacturers. You or your employees will gain the skills and abilities for entry-level positions such as as: materials handler, team assembler, or basic machine operator.
This course follows curriculum guidelines developed by the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC). The Certified Production Technician (CPT) is a hybrid program, combining the online MSSC modules and hands-on lab components.
The Certified Production Technician program teaches the core competencies of manufacturing production at the front-line. It includes four modules: Safety, Quality Practices & Measurement, Manufacturing Processes & Production, and Maintenance Awareness. Completers will test to earn a certificate for each of the four modules. Completers that have passed all four tests will earn the Certified Production Technician certificate. Individuals will also be recognized with a CPT certificate from MACC. This program is also an approved Apprenticeship through MACC.
Certified Production Technician 1: CPT 1 includes two modules: Safety and Quality Practices & Measurement. Completers will earn and OSHA 10 credential. Completers will test to earn the MSSC Certified Production Technician: Safety and the Certified Production Technician: Quality Practices and Measurement certificates. Individuals passing both exams will also be recognized with a certificate for CPT 1 from MACC. This program is also an approved Apprenticeship through MACC.
Certified Production Technician 2: CPT 2 includes two additional modules: Manufacturing Processes & Production and Maintenance Awareness. Completers will test to earn the MSSC Certified Production Technician: Manufacturing Processes & Production and the Certified Production Technician: Maintenance Awareness certificates. Individuals passing both exams will also be recognized with a certificate for CPT 2 from MACC.
